Josh Blue and a Venus Flytrap!

On Wednesday night Ashley and I went to see Josh Blue. If you don't know who Josh Blue is check him out on YouTube, he's pretty hilarious. Josh is from Denver, he won season 4 of Last Comic Standing, and he has cerebral palsy. In his act he talks a lot about having CP and being disabled; he pokes fun at himself. We really enjoyed the show, Josh Blue was hilarious. The opening act was Chuck Roy. Check him out, he was pretty good too. After the show we were able to meet him too, which was AWESOME. :)

We got a Venus Flytrap! We were grocery shopping yesterday and got one! It's pretty cool. :)

Some random pictures of the only pretty trees left on campus:

Overall, school is going great. I got an A on both my Brit Lit midterm and American Lit midterm, and I got a B on my Spanish midterm. I'm working really hard and finally feeling confident about my school work.

There's not a lot to say lately. School is still going well. I have been working really hard and seeing some of it pay off so it's been exciting to see things happen. I'm getting excited for the weather too. I'm happy that it's finally cooling down but I'm not really looking forward to the snow. I love it, but I hate going out in it...especially when I live further from campus. Things are good though. :)

This picture is pretty funny. There was a HUGE spider in the laundry room the other night when Ashley and I went down to do laundry. We covered it with the pink cap and went upstairs to get a guy. One of the benefits of living with guys...they like to kill spiders for us. I think it makes them feel all cool and strong. Haha. :) So, we're grateful for Chase and his spider killing abilities. Hehe. :)

A Walk Through City Park

On Sunday, Ashley and I took a break from homework and took a walk through City Park. We're so lucky to have such a beautiful place so close to Tolkien house. It was chilly but a lot of fun! :)

Time for an update.

School is going good. I am really enjoying my classes. My favorite classes are my British Lit and American Lit classes. Both of my professors are fun and I get to read a lot which I love. I'm not really looking forward to writing papers for either class though, haha. I'm getting better at my speech class, which is nice. I got a 185/200 on my last speech, so I was pretty stoked about that. :) Midterms are coming up so things are picking up quite a bit. On Monday I have two exams and a speech. Yikes! I will be very busy this week. ;)

Things at Tolkien house are still good. It is so much better here than in the dorms! I kind of miss the dorms, especially when it is cold and rainy outside and I have to bike to campus, but I'm still glad I live here.

Ashley and I got another fish. :D We're sharing "custody" of him...haha. His name is Henry Pippen, and he's really pretty (Pico or Pico de Gallo for short).
